What is the cost of an ATU website?

You can count on Across the Universe to take good care of your entire website project - from beginning to its successful finish. We listen carefully to our Clients and our goal is always to produce an excellent-quality product that meets your business needs.

General website development costs - approximate:
$500 (includes home page)

Plus $60 per inside page.

This is a one-time charge that covers all agreed-upon aspects of your website project - from project 'start' through the production implementation of your website.

Your website project incudes:

  1. Professional project management. You can count on us to listen to your ideas and get answers to your questions. You can also count on us to deliver your project as promised.
  2. Business analysis and user requirements. We work at gathering all important information about your business and website goals. We may meet or speak to you several times before and during the course of your website project. Adequate attention and time spent here will ensure that your website meets your business objectives and is appropriate for the business and organized in a way that provides a pleasant and informative experience for your visitor.
  3. Customized website design. ATU will work closely with you to prepare a website design that meets your wishes and tastes. We pride ourselves in creating professional, beautiful, customized web sites that effectively promote Client products or services. In addition, if you wish, we will contract with a professional graphics artist who can create a customized graphic logo for you.
  4. Technical design, architecture and code. These are the critical underpinnings of your business website. We use newer technologies like Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and structured xhtml and adhere to W3C web standards so that your website is fast-loading and readable by the largest number of web browsers. In addition, it will be accessible to people using cell phones or PDAs and also to people with disabilities using screen readers.
  5. Full quality assurance testing of your website. We make sure that, once your website is implemented, you and your own clients have a trouble-free, positive experience.
  6. Search Engine Optimization. We make sure your website is comprised of keyword-rich content so that search engines can find you! We submit your website to search engines like Yahoo and Google. In addition, we submit your website to the Open Directory. The Open Directory Project is a volunteer-built guide to the web. It is provided as an option at many major search engines, including Google. Being listed with the Open Directory can add value to a website.   7. Photography. We may be able to provide some basic photography service in the building of your website. Ask us about this.
  8. Turnover Documentation. We provide you an electronic and physical binder that includes all documentation pertinent to your website - details of folders, files, images, and administrative documents as well as training documentation if applicable.


The following website features are not included in above cost estimate, but can be assessed and priced as needed.

  • Use of Flash and/or inclusion of other multi-media effects or products.
  • Use of Content Management Software (CMS) for content management.
  • Scripting features (using PHP and ASP) for form building and processing.
  • Interfaces with databases for business data storage and retrieval.
  • E-Commerce features such as storefronts, shopping carts or payment services.
  • Contract graphics artist support.
  • Digital photography licensing costs.

After your new website has been implemented and working for you for awhile, you will see ways to make it an even better online address for your business! Across the Universe will work with you or on your behalf to change and enhance it. Our hourly rate is reasonable and the development technologies that we use allow simple changes to be made quickly which means money saved by you. ATU provides a written change document and cost estimate for client review and consideration prior to any work being performed.
